There is no scripture that accompanies this writing this week. However, that does not mean that you cannot find a scripture that applies to you and where you are in your life. I hope you enjoy this one just as much (if not more) as you've enjoyed previous postings.

My husband and I went to the grocery store one evening to pick up items for dinner. While in the store, my eyes had fallen on a yellow and pink orchid. That night we took it home with us along with our groceries, and in my observations I noticed that the pot was too small. The pot it sat in was causing its roots to outgrow where it was stationed. Like a child who had hit a growth spurt only to have its parents realize it too late.
When we got home, after reviewing the layout of our home, after placing the potted plant in a place that I had in mind, I then remembered that orchids cannot have direct light or they will die. We reluctantly decided to place the orchid on our coffee table. An odd place for us to put it, as we were hoping that we could place it somewhere else to compliment and enhance the room.
Isn’t it funny how we grow in the oddest of places? We’ve outgrown our old positions and have been moved by the Holy Spirit into new positions. Found ourselves asking God "what is this?" And little by little, God reveals His ultimate plan, and gives His answer so that you would grow more and more. Grow into your spiritual gifts and callings, grow into greater maturity, grow into your healing actions, and grow in faith and love. Grow.
Those odd places are not a mistake. There are lessons to be learned in the odd places. Sometimes the most unlikely of places is where God wants you to thrive.
